Studying the linkage between US and Chinese stock markets under the context of COVID-19 outbreak in 2020 can help us to prevent related financial risks, regulate corresponding monetary policies, and avoid the herd effect of investors being blindly optimistic or pessimistic. Between January 1, 2020 and November 10, 2022, using the returns of the S&P 500 index as a proxy for the US stock market and the CSI 300 index as a proxy for the Chinese stock market, the VAR-GARCH-BEKK model was used to empirically analyze the relationship between the two. According to the findings, the rise and fall of the S&P 500 index has some favorable effects on the rise and fall of the CSI 300 index. Yet, the CSI 300 index's movement is largely determined by past data, suggesting that the S&P 500's volatility, which represents the US stock market, has little effect on the Chinese stock market, which is represented by the CSI 300.

Therefore, this paper examines how Canadian commercial banks manage risks and explores the objective causes of increased risk by collecting annual data from Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) and comparing and analyzing it with the data of previous years. The comparison of selected data continues with an analysis of the ability of commercial banks to manage risks and how risks affect the profitability of the bank. The study finds that liquidity risk is positively correlated with the bank's profitability and performance, while market risk and credit risk have a negative correlation with the bank's performance. External factors such as inflation, interest rate hike, and COVID-19 also challenges the bank with increased risk. TD has a well-developed regulatory system and countermeasures, and the bank has a high level of risk management and response capabilities.

A VAR and an ARMA-GARCH model are used to analyse Tesla's share price movement and the U.S. dollar index futures price movement. This paper finds a correlation between the U.S. dollar index futures price and Tesla's share price. Based on the results of this paper, investors can adjust their investment decisions in Tesla stock based on the following Federal Reserve policy.

Co-branding in a masstige way has emerged as a popular brand strategy, believed to benefit both allied brands. While some fashion brands have already adopted this strategy, there needs to be more research on co-branding with artists in a masstige way. This study employs a quantitative research design using questionnaires to examine the viability of Joint Brand Evaluation, Brand Match Evaluation, Consumer Involvement level, and Single Brand Attitude. The analysis is grounded in psychological theories and the masstige theory. The findings indicate that brand culture and value positively affect fashion brands after collaborating with artists in a masstige way. However, this study does not find support for the effect of consumer involvement, and the status consumption effect is insignificant in this model. In February 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic originally broke out in Wuhan, China and spread out with an extraordinarily rapid rate, resulting the outbreak of pandemic in the global scale and resulting in various economic problems in many countries including change in U.S. labor market, specifically the unemployment rate. This paper applies a non-seasonal autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model to investigate how much the three categories of unemployment rate (overall, adult, youth) was affected by COVID-19 pandemic while the classification of unemployment is the innovation of this paper. The outcomes of ARIMA model reveals that the impact on all three types of unemployment rate reached the peak at April 2020 whereas the youth unemployment rate was affected the most severely by COVID-19 pandemic compared to overall and adult unemployment rate. From secondary research, border closure, the pause of transportation in the international scale and the restriction of marketing caused by COVID-19 pandemic may be the key of the change in labor market since the oversea transaction was greatly undermined so that the income of many firms declined significantly and they needed to carry out job cut to decrease the cost to make staff’s living. To reduce this kind of impact, governments, investors and public are required to prepare well to reduce the unemployment when encountering a pandemic so that the basic social well-being can be guaranteed as much as possible in this type of emergency circumstances.
The nation's small and medium-sized businesses (also known as SMEs) constitute an essential component of the economy as a whole; yet, many companies are right now struggling to obtain adequate funding. On the one hand, increasing the amount of capital invested in venture firms by venture capitalists can considerably promote the development of venture enterprises. On the other hand, venture capitalists look for businesses in which they may invest, with the goal of achieving high levels of success and gaining substantial profits. Therefore, in order to make a reasonable and stable match between venture capitalists and SMEs according to their respective preference lists, this paper makes use of the Gale-Shapley algorithm, which is part of the two-sided matching theory. This helps improve cooperation efficiency and maximizes the benefits for both parties. In addition to that, based on the algorithm, this article offers some policy recommendations for the venture capital market in China.

Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) is a widely used financial model for asset pricing. This paper summarizes the advantages of CAPM, highlighting its applicability to most developed countries. Based on academic research, this paper also discusses the limitations of the CAPM model, including issues with its assumptions and its limited suitability for developing countries. In the end, Alternative solutions are discussed, including finding other financial models to replace or improve the CAPM. However, through the summary, this paper finds the current financial models are relatively independent and most of them have some shortcomings in the assumption. It is difficult to find a perfect model. Therefore, the conclusion is that the future research direction should be to integrate a summative financial model to integrate the advantages of each model to help future financial analysis in both developed and developing countries.
Asset pricing model is one of the most fundamental studies in the field of finance. The simple CAPM model introduced in 1960s aims to relate the return of stocks and portfolios to the beta, which represents these assets’ level of risk. It has covered a long distance, so the paper conducts a test on it based on the data of Japanese and US stock market to see whether it’s still accurate. The data is from January 2020 to December 2022 and 72 cross-sectional regression equations was calculated. The results of the test indicate that the CAPM is not applicable in Japan but still precise in US. And it can help the investors and other financial researchers to have an overview about the stock market in these two countries and their market index. The paper also suggests that people who invest in financial markets should not only rely on the basic CAPM model but also take other factors into account.
CAPM, or capital asset pricing model, is an important tool for determining the expected returns of individual securities or portfolios and for systematic analysis. It is a strong support for the price theory of modern financial markets and is of great importance to the financial markets of various countries. This paper first introduces CAPM briefly, and then analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the model one by one and analyzes its effect on the financial market with a practical case study. A number of studies have shown that because its hypothesis does not conform to the actual market, the alternative model of CAPM is introduced, and it is found that whether these models used in finance are applic-ble or not has a great relationship with the data, so the CAPM model and its alternative models are worth further study in pricing.
Since 2022, China has entered the post-pandemic era, with its strategic focus shifting from fighting the epidemic to economic recovery. The A-share market is under the influence of uncertain factors such as the novel coronavirus epidemic as well as the outbreak of conflict between Russia and Ukraine. In order to avoid risks and increase returns, optimizing investment portfolio has aroused people's attention and become the focus of research. This paper takes China's stock market as the research object, selects seven industries favored by investors, and selects a representative stock in each industry for portfolio construction and analysis. This paper collects data on the closing price of seven stocks from January 4 to April 1, 2022, and then randomly generates 100,000 different investment portfolios through Monte Carlo method. The portfolios with the lowest volatility and highest Sharpe ratio are built using the mean variance model. The effectiveness of these three portfolios was evaluated with real daily returns from April 6 to May 11, 2022, after acquiring the weights of these equities, and it was compared to the performance of the CSI 300 in the same time frame. The result indicates that the minimum variance portfolio has the largest cumulative return, which exceeds the cumulative return of CSI 300 in the same period, while equally weighted and the maximum Sharpe ratio portfolios generate lower yields than the market level.
With the purpose of improving the optimal portfolio strategy of American listed companies, this paper studies the capital allocation of the investment subject under different models, and finally gives the portfolio countermeasures of the investment subject. This paper research the proportion of investment funds allocated by each company under three models: maximum Sharpe ratio model, minimum variance model, and equal weight model through returns of five companies from 2022-9-23-23 to 2023-2-15. It concluded that the allocation of MCD has the largest weight in maximum Sharpe ratio model and minimum variance model. Finally, the specific investment funds are calculated according to the calculated weight and the return rate from 2023-1-16 to 2023-2-15 and compared with the market data, discovering the conclusion that the equal weight model has the highest return, followed by the largest Sharp ratio model, the minimum variance model, and the market has the lowest return. The results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the equal weight model in the portfolio and give the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for investors to help them avoid risks and obtain the maximum returns in the financial market.
