Application of Big Data Analysis in Sales Forecasting

As a matter of fact, with the rapid development of the computation ability and data delivering, the big data analysis becomes a common tool to realize the predictions. With this in mind, this paper focuses on the impact of big data analysis on sales forecasting, starting with an introduction to the present-day context and significance of sales forecasting and some of the forecasting scenarios implemented by previous generations based on machine learning. After introducing these backgrounds, we start to introduce big data analysis and its impact on sales forecasting. According to the analysis and the summaty of the previous experience, we introduce the commonly used models, the parameters of the models, and the evaluation of the models as well as the application scenarios, and the specific application results. Finally, we demonstrate the limitations as well as future perspectives of big data analysis and sales forecasting. Overall, these results shed light on guiding further exploratio of bigdata analysis in sales prediction.

Analyzing the Relationship Between Family Net Income and Socio-Demographic Factors by Using a Multiple Linear Regression Analysis

The current study conducted a thorough analysis of the complex connection between net family income and various crucial socio-demographic factors, such as educational achievement, age, self-esteem, insurance coverage, and the presence of dependents in households. The primary aim of this investigation was to identify the key factors that demonstrate a favorable and statistically significant correlation with net family income. The ability to make wise decisions is of utmost importance as it can help government officials create policies, stimulate economic growth, and improve the quality of life for people and families. Previous research has largely focused on determining the primary elements that affect individual net income, with a noticeable lack of in-depth studies into the area of family net income. As a result, the research seeks to fill this gap by examining if these recognized connections also apply to the realm of family net income. The study utilized meticulous multiple linear regression analysis as its analytical framework, adopting data from the nationally representative Longitudinal Survey of Youth. The study's results highlighted the strong positive associations between education, insurance status, and the number of dependents with net family income, while not taking into account any other factors that were studied.

Among many quantitative investment means, Alpha strategy, as a typical strategy, has ushered in unprecedented development opportunities. Therefore, how to obtain excess Alpha returns stably and how to select the portfolio with higher future returns from the massive stock pool has attracted more and more attention from investors. This paper uses the ranking score method to determine the effective factors in the candidate factors and constructs a multi-factor Alpha strategy stock selection model in the A-share market. This paper first uses historical data to conduct sample analysis of stocks, studies the correlation between various indicators of listed companies and Alpha returns of individual stocks, and selects candidate factors that can effectively screen stocks with high Alpha returns. After that, the strategy model was established for back testing to test the application and feasibility of Alpha strategy in China's A-share market. Four effective factors are selected according to previous studies. And use the market data from January 2022 to December 2022 to back test the alpha strategy. The back test results show that the multi-factor Alpha strategy in this paper meets the expected performance in the A-stock market and can outperform the market to obtain excess returns. This paper studies the multi-factor Alpha strategy in the A-stock market, aiming to improve the feasibility of this strategy in the Chinese stock market, hoping to provide objective and effective investment ideas for asset managers and obtain investment methods that can obtain excess returns.

A Review of the Option Pricing Model and Further Development

The Black Scholes model and binomial tree model have been the main research objects of scholars in the past fifty years. This article summarizes the optimization process of these two classic option pricing models to understand the different directions of optimizing the models and to provide ideas for future model improvement. Improvements from scholars to the Black-Scholes model mainly focus on the basic model and the relevant variables involved in option pricing, while the optimization of the binomial tree model focuses on the reduction of pricing errors as well as the improvement of model fitting speed. Empirical studies of option pricing models have shown that improved models while enhancing the accuracy of pricing in various financial markets, unavoidably increase computational complexity and reduce efficiency. This article also demonstrates the future integration of financial derivatives pricing models in multiple fields by describing the application of real options in the agriculture, technology, and biology industries.

Willingness-to-Pay for Privacy: A Study on IPhone

This research employs the iPhone as a case study and conducts a survey to investigate consumers' willingness-to-pay (WTP) for privacy. We discover that consumers not only value their privacy in the digital realm but are also willing to invest considerably in privacy-protection services. What makes our findings particularly intriguing is the relationship between consumers' privacy habits and their willingness-to-pay. Surprisingly, individuals who may exhibit lower vigilance in safeguarding their privacy online paradoxically demonstrate a higher willingness-to-pay for services that ensure their data protection. Our research not only sheds light on consumer behavior but also provides invaluable strategic implications for businesses, especially tech giants like Apple. By leveraging privacy protection as a key selling point, firms can not only cater to the increasing concerns of privacy-conscious consumers but also elevate their products to a new level of desirability. Effectively communicating the robust privacy features of products like the iPhone empowers companies to justify premium pricing, enhancing their revenue streams while simultaneously fostering a safer digital environment for their users. This study stands as a testament to the symbiotic relationship between consumer demand for privacy and businesses' strategic innovation, driving the evolution of both technology and user protection in the digital age.

The Future of Work: A Comprehensive Study of the Gig Economy Beyond Low Labor-Value Added Jobs

Traditionally, firms face many challenges with employment: Geographical discrepancies, inefficient talent sourcing methods, accessibility, and, more recently, COVID-19. As a result, the gig economy, or the freelance economy, has become increasingly popular as a method of employment after the pandemic. This type of business model is proliferating due to its easy accessibility, along with environmental factors, such as the pandemic and social factors, such as the trend of digitalization in developing countries. This new model also brings many benefits to gig workers, including an easier pathway to employment and globalization, consumers, bringing them a wide array of services on an accessible platform, and corporations, helping them source talent and solve resource allocation issues. Yet, many corporations and industries are still in the early stage of utilizing gig workers, or refuse to outsource gig talent, because of social perceptions, skill set mismatches, and technical inefficiencies. In this paper, empirical analysis of the platform's fundamental components, challenges with society, and outlook is presented along with a relevant case study and a recommendation for a potential future development of the gig economy.

Research on Using the SICAS Model to Analyse the Zara Marketing Strategy

The rapid evolution of the fashion industry in recent decades has been characterised by the rise of fast fashion, which challenges the traditional bi-annual fashion cycle by producing and disseminating new styles in a much shorter timeframe. Fast fashion democratises the fashion world, making trendy clothing accessible and affordable to a broader audience. A principal player in this transformation is Zara, conceptualised by Amancio Ortega, which grew from a small shop in A Coruna to a worldwide retail empire, epitomising the ethos of "instant fashions". This transition in the industry parallels shifts in consumer behavior models. Historically, the AIDA model suggested a progression from Attention to Interest, Desire, and Action. However, with the advent of the Internet, this model has evolved. The AISAS model, proposed in 2005, adjusts for the digital age by including the Search, Action, and Share stages. This was further modified to the SICAS model in 2011, encompassing stages of Sense, Interest and Interactive, Connection and Communication, Action, and Sharing. This model delineates the steps of brand-consumer interaction in today's digital age, emphasising the significance of connectivity, communication, and sharing in the consumer's purchasing journey. The article introduces the Zara marketing strategy based on the SICAS model.
